Lets keep this thread going.
These are Talbot flag mirrors, this is the only pair I have ever seen. I did see a picture of a single drivers side on a early 911, and that's what got me searching. I finally found this pair on ebay.de. I did wonder if it was something made up of a Talbot and another mirror, and confirmed with a Talbot expert that it is authentic, just very rare.

Hmm, it's hard to see but if you do a Fourier transform. . . .

I just hate to see this great thread go dormant for long periods of time. With the number of members we have and the professed level of passion and enthusiasm for our Longhoods, I can't believe that sometimes weeks go by between posts.
Here's a detail I've wanted to inflict on Ruprecht for a long time. Like a lot of the eclectic things I've done to my car I wanted to make these myself, but I just can't find a source for the clamp mechanism.
The photo shows how Ed Palmer's ( Kundensport , Camarillo, CA ) version of these difficult -to -find items on his car. I have asked him to create a pair for me as well, which I will then finish by adding a few "personal" details to them to integrate with some of the other things I've done on Ruprecht.

Thanks, Mike. Well done, speaking from automotive & photographic points of view.
