Thanks, guys. Rossi made aftermarket VW items that were popular in the late '70s-early '80s. There are plastic copies being made, but these are NOS steel I found on the Samba several years ago and snapped up for the Notchback. I've never seen them used on a 356.
The yellow Amplilux lights are part of a stash bought awhile back. I'm using 6V H1 & H3 bulbs.

There are pics of the car here... will be posting more this weekend. I think it really came out well.

    Interesting satanic detail:

This is the sample of the black leatherette used for my perfectly unmolested 1968 911S.

Interesting WHERE the Porsche guy put it....

When i dismantled another perfect unmolested 1959 356A, i found the same sample ( red in that case) hidden in an angle of the rear right bulkhead, tighter with a piece of 1959 newspaper used to fill the angle...

Have you found similar samples around your unmolested car?

    Perfect.
So we know that in SWB models Porsche maintained the old 356's way to put that piece in the car.

Now it's interesting to understand if it's also present in LWB cars, because as we know in 1969 everything changed in Porsche process organization ... new plants , more industrial procedures... etc....
