I watched LeMans at Ray Crawford's in High Definition. He Tivo'd it and it was absolutely INCREDIBLE. Like watching a different movie entirely (the DVD doesn't compare). Saw things I never noticed in my previous 50 times of watching the movie. I'll bet that sticker is clear as day.

    Curt,

Just re-read your post... I can do a screen capture from an HD to signal to a digital image. Does anyone know when Le Mans will air in HD?

Frank's best bet is to find an original sticker and reproduce his from that. From that sticker he can add in the unique handwritten features that would only appear on McQueen's sticker if we're able to see them in HD.

Curt, I am sorry to say that I ACCIDENTALLY deleted the entire hard drive of movies......That mean along with Le Mans, Blazing Saddles in HD was deleted also.

I have Dish Network, a 1080p HD TV, subscribe to HDNET Movies (HDNMV). Ever since the deletion, I have been writing them to rebroadcast Le Mans. One email stated that it is set to air "early next year." Maybe we can start a email letter campaign to air it earlier?

Off Topic: They broadcast Bullitt and Blazing Saddles in HD recently. It is MORE clear when broadcast in HD, than a Blu-Ray DVD. It really is something to get. The list of some movies broadcast: Dirty Harry, Outlaw Josie Wales, Full Metal Jacket, etc.

Frank, I am leaving for the Le Mans Classic tomorrow. IF I see anything like the sticker, I will let you know. BTW: Hope you were able to get the t-shirts you wanted....

LeMans, I can understand. But deleting Blazing Saddles?!

BTW: another thing I learned from watching the HD version, the black tape used around the headlights of the 917's: I always thought that was to simply hold the plexiglass lenses in place. It's not. It's to hold a piece of clear film over the headlights (sort of like Tear-Offs on modern helmet visors). You can clearly see the wrinkles in the film in every view in HD.
