Where to buy carpet set from?

I am looking to buy complete carpet set in Charcoal for '72 Coupe.

I have seen the ones that Performance products and Pelican offer - think they are the same. Any views on these? Big difference with Domestic and German? Price is double for German

Where else can they be purchased & how much should I expect to pay?

    thanks

    Derek,

I deal with Autos International for carpets and there is a big difference between domestic carpet (cheaper loop pile stuff) and the quality German stuff. They have the charcoal "salt/pepper" style carpet imported from Germany. Not the original stuff which is no longer available.

You can also try www.sitzklinik.de but this is more expensive.

I've been using Tony from Autobahn Interiors ( www.autobahinteriors.com ). He has updated his patterns after receiving original NOS pieces from Gary Emory, and Nate Cantwell. I understand some other carpet kit manufacturers have changed their patterns for ease of installation....and deviated from original patterns.

I know the original german fabric is expensive, but it sure looks great.

I got mine from Tony(for my 73S) Perfect match! (considering ageing effect on color) The upper corner on the right old carpet is the same as the new, its just bent.

Nicest possible? Material and/or fit wise?

I have learned that all the companies mentioned can supply a nice set / good fit, the difference can be in the material (source) they use. For instance I got a small swatch of perlon from one of them and it appears that it's less hairy (shorter hairs) than the one CB & E used to carry.

For my 66 I want to find the closest to the original perlon and than the original carpet pieces will be exactly copied.
