Thanks hopo to inform this forum about that other one. I'm "makka", and I have started that 1970's 1000 Lakes thread above...

I love Porsches, and I have tried to find all possible info and photos about 911's in 1000 Lakes. I know there has been 911's from 1965 to 1986. I have seen most of them, and my brother has seen them all.

My favorite 911 is Carrera RS and RSR. I will put some photos here later on.

I have wondered many times, why Waldegard did not drive with 911 in Finland. He drove only 1967 (12 th). He could be very fast with Carrera RS, I'm sure...

By the way, I'm writing history book about 1971-1979 1000 Lakes, so if somebody has photos or some specific information of those days, I would be very happy to know.

Nice tread you have about 1000 Lakes Rally, I have too wondrerd why Waldegard and Ake Andersson dont drive more in Finlands big rally.

That photo of Waldegard with Porsche is from SS Ouninpohja. My father was there in 1967. Do you know why Bjorn had small damage in rear?

Waldegard and Andersson was favourites in the Finnish magazines before the Thousand Lakes Rally 1967. The rally start in Jyväskylä. In stage 8 Waldegard drive off the road but after 3 minutes he was on the road again. After that mishap he was on place 35 (before he was on place 3). On the photo you can see damage on the front bumper. Waldegard was fastest over the Jyväskylä Hill. Waldegard finished the rally on place 12. Andersson crash with his car. He damaged the right side of the car. After this rally the owner Scania Vabis sold Anderssons car like it was to a private rally driver who repaired the car.

Nive photos! The last one yellow RS was 1973 Safari. Leo Kinnunen drove the same car in Finland 1973. 1974 waldegard had white RS in Safari.
