This is a foto of an original painting (chopped by the owner to prevent copying). It was the cover foto on an issue of Rallye Magazine back in 70's. There may be some reprint posters made up soon. I'll keep you all posted.

As it is a photo from a modern Historic rally, (see the modern control board on the marshal's car), I suppose it could be anything, from a modded up std car to possibly a proper ST.

JCT 600 will be Jack Tordorf's 911S that won the Circuit of Ireland (Rally Ireland didn't exist then) back in 1973.
It was one of, if not THE first win by a 911 on Irish tarmac and started a trend that lasted right through until the Quattro appeared, of Porsches being the preferred weapon of choice in Ireland.
Back in those days the "Circuit" was a 5 day event, starting near Belfast on a Friday midday and running non stop until the Saturday evening when they reached Killarney. The crews than had a rst until early Sunday morning when they did the "Sunday Run" round the famous Kerry stages, the likes Molls Gap, Cod's Head and Tim Healey Pass, which are still used today. Then on Monday morning they started the run back up the West coast of Ireland and Donegall to the the Finish back in the North.
The total rally was over 1500 miles and there were over 50 stages (all used only once) totalling nearly 600 miles, run "blind" without the use of pace notes.
The Circuit was one of the great European rallies, and probably was denied a place on the World stage, as it was run over the Easter weekend, so it always clashed with the Safari.
Real rallying, none of this sissy modern stuff
