Yes , those are 1974 RSR 3.0 flairs F & R in the 1976 photo. I don't know if the 1978 Hillclimb Puig Maior is before or after that year's Montseny. I also do do not know whats going on with Almeras decals on being Trabal car(s ?) in some photos in 1978 and not in others. If after Montseny , maybe Almeras rebuilt the car for him. If before ? ....I cannot say. It's one of those mysteries , that whoever cared enough would have to try to unravel.

(I had to go back and look again because I had noticed earlier this 2nd car tagged as being Trabal also at 1978 Montseny). Since on a Montseny website , they also have this photo of Trabal in the Almeras decaled car showing it being at the 1978 edition....along with the one of him in the non-Almeras decaled car. If this photo below is accurate as being from that event (The people who run that website seem to know Montseny history) , my quess is that the accident could have happened on the 1st run (2 runs in a hillclimb). Then Trabal probably rented this car from Almeras (which they probably had on hand for back-up & possible rental). You will note it has a high entry number. Most of the cars I see at this event , in photos , have much lower numbers. This could be because it was a very late entry (or already entered as back-up). Trabal could have ended up leasing this car for the rest of the season (or even purchasing) as obviously the other car was toast . And would require some substaintial time to be fixed . If it was. Or the damaged car could have even ended up being traded/sold to Almeras Freres.

That make sense but bear in mind that Montseny roads are used to host a rally and a hillclimb at different months in the same season ...

Understood . But the first line of text on that website :

"Blog dedicat a la mítica pujada al Montseny (Santa Fe), vàlida pel campionat d´Europa de muntanya.".

(and theres no navigator in that Almeras decaled car)

    DAVSR ,

Trabal in the Almeras car photos must be from a differant event/s . I found a news article describing the 1978 Montseny , and Trabal's crash had to be at the end of his second run . It speaks of all the competition stopping afterwards because of rain ( I think the two pilot's runs it speaks of having a chance to surpass him , were prior to Trabal's crash . I'm not quite sure. But certainly , the crash of Trabal was his final run) :

(Speaks of Trabal losing control & hitting the bus then at the end of his run . Then ) :

(not perfect , but a close translation)

............and leaving momentarily blocked the road. Minutes long and tense were the favorites to waiting for the start, since the sky was becoming more threatening, heralding the return of illuviated had already been present in the early hours of the morning. And this bad omen was fulfilled: in few minutes the road was completely wet and the favorites were powerless over this victory that eluded them. However, two pilots, only two would have been able to capture it. One, Willi Rabl, who also started the rise in dry, but made a spin and then abandoned: one, 'Jean Claude', who was stopped by the commissioners 100 m. before the goals, to problems that existed at the moment and even then will authorize a new subs, and had lost all his possibilities.

That's because of Trabal was capable to win a Lola-BMW (Juan Fernández) and a Porsche 935 (Jean Marie) in a hillclimb race I guess ...

    Perfect translation!! congratulations!!
