Before after 3 weekends' worth... Some drywall, some primer and paint, some racedeck, tried to hide the ugly ramps.. Work in progress...
Rotating in there between the 911, alfa and Bimmer.

    Bob,
With those high ceilings your registers should be lower to increase efficiency. If the registers are in that duct, you'll have a hard time keeping the lower work area cool. In the winter the warm air will stay on top. It's always a compromise, but in our climate, its better to weight towards the long summer season.
What is on top of the roof? Is it just steel?

I am a fan of exposed ductwork. The industrial look works well aesthetically. They are far more easy to build and get the conditioned air where it's needed. It's a garage!😉

David, it is a metal roof which has sprayed on foam insulation and then the insulating batting you can see. The walls also have the foam and batting. The garage door is insulated as well. My unit is East facing so I get morning sun. My unit has other units on three sides, which have AC/heat. I have a 12' Big Ass fan to move air as well. I'm not trying to keep it cool in summer just keep it from getting too hot in there. I should know soon enough if it's going to be comfortable, if not work will have to be suppended and cool beverages consumed.

Most airports are restricting hangar space to aircraft only. The surrounding airports in the Phoenix area all have strict "airplane only" rules which also extend to couches, refrigerators and mini bars as well as cars and motorcycles. I have a bunch of friends now looking for car storage for their Porsche's and a new place to hang out.

Same issue in Colorado. I looked for hangar space but was rejected due to airport security.
