    That is a Superlift SR-7H, http://www.superlifts.com/.

I am happy with the lift, no problems, but if I had it to do over,I would buy the "Backyard buddy" I think its a safer lift.

    Rob,

Great garage and collection (Porsche's and rallye plates)!
Do you know if any of those lifts are made in the USA?

    Thanks Steve.

I think most lifts are made in China, even those that state "made in USA" They are shipped unassembled, so they paint them add a few bolts, then advertise them as made here. I do know the Backyard buddy is 100% USA made, thus the higher price.

I just stumbled on this thread again in a search, and decided I'll bump it back up -- partly to see some other gargages, partly because my page-2 post is completely out of date. Here's my garage as it was then:

And here it is in 2011. It looks similar -- but is actually just about 100% different:

Some features include benches that fold down from the walls:

Lighting cantilevered out so the door can open and close. The lights are made out of inexpensive cake pans:

    The door recently got insulation:

I made this sink area and upper and lower storage areas out of a single chopped up Strong Hold cabinet:

Two-faced clock can be seen from wherever you happen to be standing:

No need to search everywhere for where you put the phone down. 1951 technology is still going strong:

Ceramic tile is tougher than most epoxies:

And then there's the (American-made) Vestil lift I put in:

I got it for $455, and installed it myself for another $215. It opened the door for the use of $8 Ikea scales for a poor man's corner balancing:

The garage isn't always this clean. In the past year, it's seen an engine swap, and then (frustratingly) a complete rebuild of the same lump:

And here's a Norman Rockwell sort of moment (note the badge):

And the box I built to hold all of the stuff that would normally clutter up a garage that's only 20'x22':
