    Pic request: plastic window pulls

    hi all

does anyone have any pics of the strap arrangement used to raise/lower plastic/lexan windows in 911R's, ST's, RSR's etc.

from what i can gather the strap attaches to the bottom edge of the window (inside the door) but i'm a little unclear on the fitting that the strap connects to on the door. i assume that a small hook is used which passes through holes in the strap to set the window position.

any other tips or tricks in making and/or installing these would be great appreciated.
    Cheers, Ryan

    Here's a tip:

The leather will streatch over time, so make sure that you allow for that and punch the holes so that, initially, they hold the window a little tighter than you would normally like. In about 6-9 months the leather will stretch and the tension will release and everything will be hunky dory. Otherwise, you'll have sagging windows that don't close all the way.

Yep, just like mine. That's why you see little wood blocks in the R door panels - to prop up the window. These are special rare factory wood blocks, you know, that go inbetween the strap and window sill.
