Thread: Anatomy (video) of a 911ST tarmac rally car

Lexan is bad for visibility. I have Lexan quarter windows, front wing windows, and rear window. I did not install the side windows at all due to the cloudiness.

I can only see just well enough out of the Lexan to keep out of trouble in traffic. It is cloudier than glass, even without scratches. It gets scratched easily, like with a cloth that you think is pretty soft. You only see the scratches in the light, lots of glare. Also, it is hard to keep clean. It stains and develops a film like a convertible top window.

All that aside, it is lighter!

my lexan is holding up well thus far. the trick seems to be using a dedicated cleaner. i use a product called plexus which is an aerosol cleaner/polish and a very soft cloth.

Thanks for the feedback. Lexan sounds like a race car only type upgrade.
