    1968 Targa/Coupe elephant grain panels

In 1968 Porsche made a unique door panel for the 911 and 912 Coupe/Targa. The door panels were made out of elephant grain and smooth vinyl using a special heat seal process. We have just come up with a very similar panel. Instead of the heat seal method, it’s stitched together. Elephant grain has been discontinued so we went with basket-weave which was also original for 1968.

    Looks good, Tony.
Question: my door panels and pockets are in good shape generally on my '68. Are you able to use the original material and then reshape the pockets and redo the closing mechanism?
