    Too funny Chuck.
    It's called Shorty because ;

    1 = its kept on a short leash (can't stray too far from the camera - the lens is only so long )
    2 = he doesn't do long distance (otherwise he'd be "longy" )
    3 = he only comes out when it is warm (short-wearing weather )

    Have we provoked you enough yet Tom, to join up? We'll be cruisin' by Staunton on the way.

    Come on guys you are being too hard on Tom. . . He "tried" to drive Shorty at last years SVR. He went at least 10 miles before he had a change of heart.

    So what's the anticipated drill? Arrive Friday night, drive Saturday and exit Sunday? It's a 4 plus hour drive for those of us considering coming down from Cincinnati. Do I understand the lodge website about the two night minimum?

    John, drillwise, you got it nailed
    Our gig is 13+ hrs for me and 17+ for Paul. We will leave our area Thurs, with an ETA of 6pm Friday down there at lodge. Stay Fri/Sat. Leave early Sunday for run home. Made res by calling number and leaving message. They were prompt in returning our call.

    Hope to see you there,

    Karl.

    Karl,

    I'm talking it over with my son. If he wants to come along, we'll bring the 73S sporto and the 73T (now 2.7 mfi) coupe. Will let you know. How many others signed up so far?

    John, not sure exactly. I'm hopin; Tom/Vic will chime in. I expect that 10 rooms will be gone soon (initial number Vic had held).
    After that, it's just gravy
    I know of one or two others up in North East by us, that are thinking of heading down, in a convoy.
    I am sure we will have a better idea soon.

    Hope to see you and your son there. All the best,

    Karl.

    Tail of the Dragon

    Guys...

    Tom Morgan intends on arriving mid-day+, Friday, and I plan on being there Friday late afternoon.
    Am currently laying out a drive-out for Saturday mid-day, to include the Cherohala Pkwy, other scenic roads + the Dragon.
    Don't have an exact number of signees (?), but will determine a # in a day or so, and will post here, and on the RGruppe Forum.
    Are wives coming along?
