I just hope it gets DRIVEN !
Recession ?? - its a case of supply and demand for the top drawer models - RSs and the best Ss.These blue ribbon cars are not being made anymore as we all very well know.
Its just that at the moment less buyers are a little more cautious to spend - unless an exceptional car such as this pops up.

Exactly. Top cars will always bring the money. The Arizona auctions are a perfect example of this. Many lots were down 35-50% but the cream of the crop still made top dollar.

This was a NO SALE. Mr. Gallaghly is mistaken. this is my car and I was right there throughout the entire auction process. I needed $295k net so it is now coming back to my garage in Carmel, CA and I will sell to a qualified, appreciative and knowledgeable buyer. As stated before this is one of the best touring RS's in the world and it is worth my asking price-Even in this economy. If it does not sell now it can remain with me until people understand the value of this car. David mohlman.

Thanks for clarifying this. A good friend (who incidently was a partner with Jim Torres once upon at time) was watching the web broadcast of the auction sent me an email saying the same thing, that your car sold for 300K. The auction result must have been confusing somehow to those not present at the auction.

I have been talking to Goodings re my car and possible running it in the Monterey auction and I was advised that the car hadn't yet sold but they were hoping for a post aution sale so I was surprised to see the "Sold" post

they are trying but Intercity Lines is scheduled to pick up Monday afternoon. Gooding is a great company and they always do first class auctions so I am comfortable with them trying for an aftermarket sale. If not, as stated previously, it will be home again here in carmel. I just watched a 1969 Camaro ZL-1 sell for over $300k so it appears, to me at least, a 73rs is worth more than a car that doesnt stop or turn corners!! Thanks for all the kind comments re. my car.
