    Early ones:
    Kommenda's proposal for a 356 replacement. 4-seater (1956)

Early model of T8/901, approx 1961. Note higher rear roof silhouette.
901 was initially planned with rear window to be opened by handle to easier luggage area acces.
Not realised due to water-proof issues.

    Prototype No.2, engine grill 356 style (1962)

    1970 Porsche 914 by Eurostyle/Turin.
Porsche asked Goertz (who also build a very early 911 prototype design) to design an 914 alternative.

"The Porsche 914 was only just for sale when Carrozzeria Eurostyle of Turin unveiled their coachbuilder's view on the car at the Turin motor show of 1970. The Eurostyle-Porsche is said to be designed by Albrecht Goertz and was rather revolutionary in style and function. The shooting brake-style rear of the car is fitted with doors that open to the sides, a bit similar to the Ferrari Daytona shooting brake built by Panther, but this time electronically controlled too! The front could be tilted forwards to gain easy access. Not more then two cars - one yellow, one silver grey - were built in Turin " (source: coachbuild.com)

Yikes, what a massive blind spot! I like most Albrecht Goertz designs, but I would pass on this one.

Well, it does have that 60's Alfa/Ferrari breadvan Kamm look.

    First Targa prototypes are VIN 13 360 (built September 10th 1964) and VIN 13 396 (built June 9th 1965).
Crash test did not satisfy engineers and Targa press presentation scheduled for spring 1966 had to be postponed until january 23rd 1967.

This is probably the first Targa. VIN 500 001.
Unique Porsche crest on Targa bar which did not made it to the serie but on 66 promotional literature.
    Car owner in Germany.
