Welcome, that looks like a nice find.
As Karl mentioned if you have not met Vasco, he is also on this board so you could make contact here.

Pedro,
Welcome to Early S Registry and the fascinating world of Early Porsches.
Go on, buy the Tangerine car......sooner rather than later, before some other lucky guy picks it up right from under your nose. It's beautiful.
Where in Portugal do you live, by the way.

Hi,
I must say I wasn't expecting such a nice welcome!
I'm really happy you liked the car so much. I'm picking it up tomorrow morning.
About Jorge and Vasco, I can't tell you that I know them unless you give me some more details. would he be Vasco Sampaio the Porsche Club of Portugal director?
some more pictures soon

That is one mean looking 911. Great place to visit this board is. Enjoy.
(One of my mechanics that works on my car here in New Jersey is Portuguese)
Cheers,

Pedro,
back in the eighties and early 90s when Portugal had a Formula 1 Grand Prix, I was running the International Division of the company I worked for and made sure that my travel schedule took me to Estoril, which is of course next-door to Sintra and Cascais every year when the race was held. It was my favorite track. Maybe some day Portugal will have a F-1 race again. There were many delightful weekend drives through the Douro Valley with its amazing wines, and I remember that I enjoyed the best Bacalao I ever had in a Parador next to the monostary at Bom Jesus. Of all the villages & cities in Portugal, I think Coimbra left the deepest impression on me. Simply beautiful.
Yes, I have been to Portugal many times, I love your country and it's people, and can't wait to get back.
If you're ever in the U.S. especially if you find yourself in California, let us (me) know. Look forward to meeting you.
In August of '09 the Monterey Historics ( the greatest vintage automotive meeting anywhere, don't let anyone tell you differently -- and it's only a two-hour drive from San Francisco) ) will honor PORSCHE as the featured marque for the first time in eleven years. It promises to be a Hell of an event. Should be an outstanding week !
Best
