    McQueen's 69 car - 2,0 or 2,2?

Hi, maybe this is dumb question, but was Steve McQueen's 69S a 2,0 or 2,2?
Is it "Slate Gray" like the 70S "LeMans" car?

I was reading another thread (http://www.early911sregistry.org/for...mcqueen&page=3) and the subject of "his reasons" to sell the 70S and keep the 69S instead...

I'm not sure about the 2,2 69S (and I don't have my "Red Book" with me for the weekend), but if there are 69 2,2T out there, there sould be 69S as well, at least November cars, right? Or not?!

If so, are there differences between the 69S and 70S, both 2,2 engined?

The 2.2 was introduced for the 1970 model year, with first production beginning in the summer of 1969. This is when most manufacturers start the next model year production. In short, a 1969 MY car would be delivered with a 2.0 motor.

Steve had 2 cars, a '69 and a '70. I think Chad McQueen has the '69 and Frank has the '70. I may have it backwards, but Frank could definitly answer whether the '69 has later P/Cs.

Kenik, you are correct. Chad has the 69 and Frank has the 70 Le Mans car.

    Thanks guys!

I knew 69 MY was the last year of the 2,0. But there are cars built in 69 which are 70 MY, as the production cycles count from September to June/July, I guess... so that was my mistake... Also, I got mixed up, because Portuguese license plates stay with the cars, and for most subjects, the first year of license is what counts – but not for MY ID!!!

    So this means Chad's car is a 2,0 69S.
Does anybody know the chassis #?
    What color is it?
I'd really like to know more about this car.
Is there a magazine article somewhere...?
Where or from whom can I get some info please?

    Thanks Raj!

Unfortunately the PM doesn't display an e-mail address...
If anyone here knows the chassis#, it would me much appreciated.
