    Finish on 911R fuchs

Anyone know what the factory did on the finish of the 911R 7" fuchs? Anyone have any photos? Thanks.

    Hi,

The ones on my car are date stamped 1970 hence prob ST 7Rs. I have had a quite a few sets in the past and all were the standard anodised/detailed finish but with ink part numbers, well all bar one pair but thats another story.
Not a great pic but here are the ones on my own car

I've also owned several un-refinished 7R's and they were all standard finish....anodized/black.

Here's a shot I took at Daytona at RR III of the 17th R built , As you can see,.....standard plain anodized & black.

The other white regular production R had standard finish wheels as well.

One of the proto types however (the tangerine #3 of four) had a rough finish and no paint on the wheels at all.

Another prototype, the yellow car, had the standard finish on its wheels.

    None used centercaps.

Ok, thank you everyone. Mine are presently highly polished and I'm not crazy about the finish so I will probably go with the standard.
