Location of Weltmeister Decal on RHD 1971 911s

I've just done some more digging for information.

Josh Sadler of Autofarm UK sent me a great picture of a 1971 911 ST delivered march 1971 that has the sticker / decal on the passenger side lower part of the windscreen.

From the 911E registery I have dated my 911, chassis 0764 to a build date around around march 1971.

So I have decided to go with placing the sticker / decal on the windscreen.

    Regards,

    Norbert.

    Norbert,

FYI - my chassis 0760 has a microfiche invoice date of 1st March 1971 and was first registered in the UK on 26th March 1971.
    ....pictures are required pls...

    Cheers,
    Dennis.

You might have problems with MR Plod as it may not be roadworthy with a sticker there.

I have never seen an Aussie car with the sticker placed there.

    Weltmeister Sticker on Aussie 911s

    Clyde,

    Good point!

Maybe aussie cars always had them affixed to the rear quarter glass due to the rego sticker issue.

    Regards,

    Norbert.

Dennis is there any more photos of the car inside the magazine?

I was two months old when that edition came out and I'm struggling to identify the sticker as well! Can you be sure its not a rego sticker ?!!

Lets try a bigger pic for those focally challenged !!

..hmm,will not load due to size...
    Tis definately a WM decal.
I have had this mag since new - the pics inside dont show the passengers side well.
Perhaps Justin would like to check it out over Easter.

    Cheers,
    Dennis.
