No undercoating ? I need feedback...

    Hi,
I'm almost done removing all the undecoating on my 72 ; My original plan was to put a thin layer back before the tangerine paint all under the body. But I came across M.Butler signal orange RSR replica in an old excellence mag and the clean-smooth finish under the the car is awesome !

Does someone drive a car without undercoating for sometime and can tell me how it looks after thousands miles ?

My car will be a weekend driver (5-6 months/ year : in our nice Northern weather...)

    Thanks !
    JD

The only issue I've seen is getting your tires hot enough that they fling rocks at the fenders leaving "outies".

Check out a product called quite car www.quitecout.com. I used it on my restro. It worked well, looks like the real deal, and provides the protection you will want. The sprayer you can get with this product gives you the nice stippled look. It goes on black, but you can paint over it with good results.
