Here is the photo I took from the car, as advanced the color looks lighter, less intense pastel.

    Hope it helps.

To A Alfa and the rest of you guys that have responded.

Thanks for your ideas on this color on the 908. But I'm still wondering what it is. Is it French Blue (what is French Blue?) Or is is a Porsche color? As I mentioned, I'm building a SWB race car that was originally Ossi Blue and I'd like to lighten and brighten it up a bit and this 908 color seems to work but I'm puzzled as to what it is.
    Thanks,
    R.

    richard,

in the second shot, it looks pastel blue to me. i once pulled apart a guards red (what else) 911 and found this original colour hiding in all the normal places. it is a very cool colour - you won't be disappointed.
    Cheers, Ryan

French racing blue was the traditional color used by French teams while racing, very typical for example on racing Bugattis.(see photo)

To me French racing blue is something in between of Mexico blue and Pastel blue. More similar to Pastel than to Mexico I would say.

Maybe that 908 was raced by a French team...

    Guys,
Thanks for all your ideas and pictures. It's amazing how many Porsche blue colors there seem to have been. As I stated before, my car was originally Ossi Blue, but I'd like to brighten it up a bit...especially since it will be a SWB racer. So far I'm still leaning toward "French Blue" unless I can come up with an original factory blue that fits this car and is exciting...but not obnoxious. Pictures are of the car as I'm building it...and the French Blue 908. Still looking for opinions and ideas.
    Thanks.
