    Little "nips"

    Nothing R rated here...sorry! Does anyone know when the little bumps in the sheet metal above and below the door latch mechanism appeared on the jambs? The beautiful '66 discussed doesn't appear to have them, but most 67's do? Thanks!

    Could you post some good pictures of these bumps for documentation please. I would be interesting to see if this is another distinguishing feature of the 66 / 67 transition. People should post VIN's of those that do, and those that do not have the feature.

    I don't have a photo right now. They are small rectangle shaped bumps at about 11 and 5 o'clock surrorrounding the latch. I believe they are there for keeping the backing hardware in place during positioning the latch when the whole assembly is loosened for adjusting? This is a problem area rust wise and lots of these bumps went away during repairs.
