The Family obsession continues, the third generation

My user name should be a pretty good indication of who I am, I've just turned 15 and acquired my first Porsche, a 1967 912 Dad says I have to repay him for the car: $300, which I will have to pay back.

Based on the price you can probably tell what kind of shape it's in!

I look forward to participating online, I'm sure I'll ask a lot of stupid questions, but I will try to do a search before I ask.

Dad says I have to pay for the restoration myself, so I'm probably have stuff for sale that i managed to sneak out of his office or garage .

The best thing though is that a local Porsche body shop has offered to let me apprentice this summer! Looking forward to pounding on a few cars from northwest members!

I will probably be selling stuff soon because Dad's out of town a lot.

    Welcome SOS.

    Congrats on the '67!

I love the short wheelbase cars, especially the green gauges and I'll bet it's worth more than $300 if your father had anything to do with it.

There are no stupid questions just stupid answers and feel free to turn us on to any of the extra parts YOU feel your dad doesn't need!

Welcome Andy - from another Andy !

By the way, your dad said that he had too many seats 'piling up' & that if I wanted a pair I could have them for the cost of shipping - I know he's very busy so maybe you could organise this ...

I would like to help you finance your project. Next time Dad's out of town, please send me a list of any interesting items he might have (I'm sure there's not much but .... ) Just want to do my part to help

As SOS, you probably already know more about these early cars than most of us will ever hope to learn.

    Got any more $300 912s???

BTW, I'm good for a few restro $$ for the NOS luggage/ski rack that your Dad said that he didn't want anymore.

Welcome, cheers and congrats! It's a long and slippery slope from here.
