Good luck restoring te car, It remembers me that I was also 15 when I bought my first Porsche.

Now 3 years later, I've had about 13 Porsches, so keep up the spirit and it'll turn out just fine

Hi and welcome! Your father and 70SATman has learned me most of what I know about Porsche lights and equipment. They are always helpful, and as we add to our knowledge we try to help out too. Cool nick, my son would be son-of-zithlord. I will advise him too chose another nick......

Welcome Andy, look forward to seeing the car around. Let me know if you need any help hauling all those extra parts to the post office.

Technically, I think you may be born into the R Gruppe as well...

Sorry about the extremely late reply, my dad said no posts until school was over. Well now school is over and I have pictures of my 912 in all its glory.

To those of you who want parts or other Porsche stuff from my dad, that will be available very shortly as my dad does "need" or will not "miss" anything that happens to "appear" on this site.

As far as me finding my dad's sport seats go I have almost decrypted the 16 digit computer lock, then there's the matter of the guard dogs...

Anyway, thank you to everyone who replied to my thread, I look forward to meeting you all and exploiting my dad's garage of stuff.

Excellent choice. The car appears free of many of the common rust areas. The body shop experience will serve you well. Hopefully, you will keep the original color...

    How cool is that!

Substitute a 73 Datsun pick up for the 912 and ......well, I grew up geographically challenged.

So, whose idea was it for a 67?

Hope you have the time of your life with it, SOS. You are a lucky young man. I wish you well.

Congratulations and welcome Andy. You will have a blast with that swb. It sounds like you truly appreciate how cool you dad is...never forget that!

Keep us posted on your progress along your way. Maybe post all your progress in the same thread (this one?). Enjoy the ride.
