    Tire recommendation for 70T steelies

I'll try to be as brief as possible.

The Michelin XZXs on my car are dry rotting and no longer safe, and my recently acquired 15x7 Fuchs need to be refinished. Hence for now I'm planning on putting a set of 195/65-15s all round on the original 15x5.5 steelies. I'm leaning heavily towards the Bridgestone RE960AS Pole Position, but also considering the latest Goodyear Eagle GTs. Vredestein Sprint Classics in 185/70-15 have some appeal but honestly not as much as the RE960AS.

The car rides on stock suspension except for nearly new Bilstein Sports installed by PO.

Please validate my selections or suggest other alternatives. Will supply more criteria if you like.

    TIA,
    Ed

I gotz me some Vreds and loves them. they ride on a stock suspension with stock deep six's euro lowered and corner balanced they are not bad on the dry. not great in the rain as I recently experienced and fill the wheel well nicely. about 1/4 the price of vintage Michellin XWX or Dunlop or Pirelli.

I went ahead with the RE960AS in 195/65-15. Took the car for a short run (~40 mi.) and so far, so good.

    Thanks to all who replied.
