    Talking my personal porsche world tour

    Hi guys , in 2010 i am planning to go walkabout for a year (40th birthday trip) and cover as many porsche events / porsche places in this time .
    I will be starting in sth america for all of feburary ( not so porsche related ) then hit the USA for march .before heading on to canada april/ may and over to europe for the rest of 2010.
    While in the US i will be looking for another car as a side line but what hot porsche events may be running in march? Plus what else through the year? ( i will be based in london so can always pop back and forth.)

    For europe so far we have ;
    -classic lemans
    -24hrs Nurburgring
    -group c races
    -porsche museum /factory tour
    -goodwood
    etc plus catch a few trips with the porsche club/other to events

    So what else can you recommend

    -Monterey Historic Races at Laguna Seca
    2009 featured marque is Porsche, which means that 2010 will probably be Ferrari.

    -California Festival of Speed at Auto Club Speedway-Fontana, California
    Best club racing around. POC guys in hot rod early 911s, 914s, Boxsters, etc. all the way to full on 997 Cup cars and twin turbo RSR tube frames cars with full house motors and all-out aerodynamics. Almost like the top class at 24 Hours Nuerburgring. They do sprint races throughout the weekend and a 1 hour enduro. Speeds get around 160mph and you can get within 4 ft of them while they fly by. See my photostream in my signature.

    -Long Beach ALMS Sportscar Grand Prix
    GT2 racing at its best on the streets of Long Beach, right next to the ocean.Great access to the cars and drivers in the paddock- included in the ticket price. Photos and video on my Flickr page.

    -Porsche Club of America Parade
