    And all those images show the wipers parking to the right except one........but the larger image of the car with wipers to the left would indicate that it is a RHD car which can't be correct so the image must be reversed and that means a 'full house' for wipers parking to the right.

    According to factory infos, 901 prototypes had show plates and also road registered plates.
    Here are the updated infos:

    -No.1 never had plate, might later S-PS 430
    VIN 13 321, white, built 1962, engine S90, later 901, destroyed 1965.
    First prototype test drive by Helmutt Bott on November 9th 1962.



    -No.2 had plate HEC 626 (US), later red S-04324
    VIN 13 322, white, built 1963, Reutter, engine 901, destroyed 1964.
    Received experimental transversal rear seat for one rear seat passenger only.


    -No.3 had plate HEC 627 (US), after Feb.65 S-SK 725, after June 65 no plate
    VIN 13323, blue, red after 1964, built 1963, Porsche, engine 901, sold to VW.


    -No. 4 had red plate S-04326, later S-SK 726, later none
    VIN 13 324, yellow, built 1963, Porsche, engine 901, on Nov. 11th 1965 received 170hp 2.2l experimental engine.

    -No.5 had plate Typ 901, later S-TC 1
    VIN 13 325, yellow, built 1963, Porsche, mock-up engine, later 901, destroyed Dec.12 th 1965.
    1963 IAA Frankfurt car.


    -No.6 had plate LB-U 911
    VIN 13 326, blue, built 1963, Porsche, mock-up engine, later 901, new 5-instruments dashboard, Rosanil leather 705, black seats w pepita 7/127, Velours Besmer Idee 903 mats. London show October 16th - 26th 1963.
    Ferdinand Piechs personal car, later sold to 901 engine developer H.Metzger.


    -No.7 had plate S-SX 564
    VIN 13 327, signalred, "Barbarossa", built Nov.1963, Porsche, April 1965 Richard von Frankenberg's car,
    Currently in US/Owner Don M.


    -No.8 had plate S-TV 112
    VIN 13 328, brown with red engine cover, built April 10th 1964, engine 901, later replaced by 4cyl. 616736 engine, later new automatic VW transmission, extended window/door frame for tests, sold April 18th 1964

    -No.9 had plate S-UE 87
    VIN 13 329, built 1964, Reutter, engine 901, later replaced by 4cyl 616/36 engine, experimental electr. sun roof
    Used August 1964 by Ferry Porsche for holidays

    -No.10 had plate S-UP 935
    VIN 13 330, built 1964, Häusele, engine 831001, no door pockets, no dashboard cover, sold Oct. 29th 1965

    -No.11 had plate S-CU 902, after Dec. 1964 plate S-UP 934
    VIn 13 352, built 6/1964, Karmann, engine 4cyl. engine 831422, 3-instrument dashboard, driven by Ferry Porsche
    to VW on Oct. 1964


    -No.12 had plate S-UN 478
    VIN 300 001, built 10/1964, Porsche, engine 901 later 356 Carrera engine


    -No.13 had plate S-UN 476
    VIN 300 002, built 1964, engine 901, later 4cyl. 832 060, sold May 17th 1965

    Dave, according my infos, Häusele built No.10, VIN 13330, engine 830001.
    Ready by Oct.2nd, Dec 64: test run at Monza, Jan 65: change to 12 Volt,
    Jan 18th-22nd: 1000km non-stop test run, Jan 25th 65: heater tests, feb 65: new
    shocks, Dec 21th: 20'100km on tacho. Sold October 29th 1965.


    More:
    -Proto VIN 13 415, US specification, recently found in US.

    -Proto VIN 13 360: Targa Prototyp, Karmann, at factory delieverd Sept.10th 1964

    -Proto VIN 13 396: Targa Prototyp, Karmann, test drive june 9th 1965

    -Proto VIn 13 x28: Targa Prototyp, destroyed Nov. 10th 1965 by crash test. Crash result not satisfiying.
    Planned factory production model run postponed from spring 1966 to January 23rd 1967 (VIN 500 001, car in Germany)

    -VIN 300 005. Plate S-Un 764, early 901/911 press car, next to 356. maybe 1964 Paris show car (?), no 911 script.

    Uncovered! Short-lived third model: The 1967 911

    Hi Karim, the information I got from the owner is that the car was built by Karmann as a cabriolet prototype in June of 64 and delivered to Porsche in September of 64. It was displayed at the 65 Frankfurt show as a Targa with the fake Targa roll bar bolted in. The owner let me borrow the car for my historic car display at the 04 Porsche Parade in Ft. Worth Texas.
