That is very cool Mark. Spokes almost look polished more than anodized. What's on the back, anything? 350mm?

It's 360mm Peter and it is odd in that the spokes are polished and shiny ...stacked momo logo on back. The dished, 3 spoke pads give it the 917 prototipo vibe

I was looking for the right wheel for around 18 months, spec had to be an original 1st generation momo, which would have been used by people back in the late 60s, also had to have lots of patina....and thanks to a fellow enthusiast who is also restoring an early swb car I was able to get my hands on a 370 prototipo.

A flat 370 Prototipo may well be the best wheel for a SWB! Enjoy many miles with that lovely wheel!

I agree with Anatol. That wheel is perfect! While not everyone can have a '60s MOMO wheel, I believe that's the detail that's often overlooked and it's the first that I notice. The wear on that wheel just can't be replicated.

It took me a while to realise:

From top left to bottom right: Prototipo 350, Prototipo 380, Elite 375, Sebring 350, Monza 375 (new old stock), early Personal 380

But my 380mm Prototipo feels the best in the car:

However, for frequent use without any fears for the precious Prototipo, I use an Abarth-style 370mm wheel that I got at a reasonable price here on the forum. These were used on the Lancia Delta Integrale, so they are not without history, either.

Good grip, patina and very strong build make it an excellent budget choice for me.
    Keep up the speed!

Now that's some collection, and your 380 holy grail wheel is lovely

Anatol - could I ask: are you using the prototipo with an extension? Maybe I am wrong but looks like it. If so - what are you using?
