    First Post Greetings

Ok, first post! I have been on the Samba a few years, (the pics will explain why) mostly lurking, great site. So, I have had various VW's through the years and had even looked at a few 911's about 10 years ago.

Anyhow, a couple months ago I did it. Add in the paper, just went to take a look and then on to my Saturday tag sales. The following weekend I f'ing bought it. Oh NO, what have I done? Did I get a good deal? Am I screwed? Sort of nervous at first, but I think I am fine. I may have paid a little too much, not alot though. Time will tell. I have a 911 though! I like to think I bought "the best I could afford" as they say. Sorry it's not an S, it looks like this isn't too exclusive of a forum? I have S brakes, does that count for something? Do they really sell those calipers for that much?

Here are a few photos. The store front is where I found it, someone may recognize it? I know, the drivers door is not right, they put it back together in 79. I got lot's of questions, these forums are great, I will try and spell stuff riight...

Also if you join the registry (as opposed to just the message
board) you'll get a great magazine quarterly and you get to
put your membership number in your sig too.

And a Sporto to boot! Cool. Welcome and congrats on the acquisition. Interior looks pretty clean too. You have found the right place to ask questions. There are many here whose knowledge never ceases to amaze me.
