Factory LUGGAGE ROOF RACK for 1971

I have a luggage rack that I was told was a factory option. It's a roof mounted rack that is not adjustable like the Lietz rack.

Does anyone have any literature showing a factory roof rack???

    Thanks.

Yes, copied from a previous post, not my pics.

Which one do you have John? Note that Leitz didn't build all of the factory racks. I know that Karo built the ski racks, not sure who built the one piece factory rack with the 901 part number, and the other one piece rack was by Amco. I have all of them except the targa rack, do you have questions?

I have the one piece rack. It looks like the one with the couple, on the white car.

Do you have a close up of the attaching bracket. It looks like thats the difference with the AAMCO rack. That way I can identify it.

I don't see any part number?

    John,
The rack on the white car and the rack on the Hoffman912's burgundy car are the same rack (amco)... or are you telling me that you don't have the same attachment bracket as the burgundy car pictured right above my last post????

That's correct, my attachment seems to be different from the Aamco rack.

Sorry about the mess above, don't know what happened...check these racks. They aren't the quality of the Porsche offering but they are of the period and the same style. I have a pair and I like them. Put them on your Volvo Amazon or fin-back Benz, too!
