How much should I be expected to pay for a slightly used set of 40mm webers. These are brand new except for some dyno time on a car then pulled off for 46mm. No shaft play in very, very clean condition. Any advice would be great.
Cheers,
Ed

Are they Italian ones or the later American-made ones????

^ I'm not sure. I'm assuming Italian ones - take a look at the attached picture.
Thanks.
I would guess $1500+ for the pair.

I just sold an excellent pair of Webers from a 2.2 complete setup for 1300. These were ready to go. I sold another set that needed rebuild that had tight shafts but needed a good going through for $800 just for the carbs. Both sets were italian made.
2 Years ago they would sell for 1500$ all day long , if you spend a little time looking a good set should pop up around 1200-1300.

The ones above pictured have PMO intake manifolds which are a nice addition. If your looking for some webers let me know, I have quite a few sets of Webers and Zeniths in all different shape. I have an excellent fresh set ready to bolt on a 2.4 that include intake, linkage, hats and misc gaskets etc. 1400$
Hope this helps.

Thanks for the replys. The set that is for sale does not include the PMO intakes and is asking $1,800. I wasn't sure of the going rates for webers so I posted here for advice. My 40mm webers have shaft play and I was going to send them out to Bieker Engineering and did not want the 5 week down time hence looking for a set to use while being rebuild.
Let me know your thoughts.
Cheers,
Ed

1800$ is way too much like I stated above. You can get into a decent set of webers complete for much less money!
Check ebay and pelican, webers have been popping up like Deep Sixes lately!!
If your interested in a set give me a ring tomorrow, I have a couple that could fit the bill.
Thanks,

I sold a set of nice (tight shafts) Italian Webers, with manifolds, K&N and linkage, for $1,200 last year, when the market was stronger. These were set up for an S, with the F3 emulsion tubes, etc.

If the Webers say "Made In Italy" does that mean they are not the US version??
