    Id plate information

What information goes into the respective plates and what goes where?

    Thanks for expediting this process!

    Plate info location

I think that may be a 356 ID plate.

The early 911 has info in the following places:

    Upper right: car "Typ - "911 -911S- 911T or 911L"

Upper right: "heizeinrichtung Typ - 911~~S 66" (This is the heater classification)

center left: "Fahrgestell-Nr - (serial number)

Center right: "zul Achstast vorn kg - 600"

    Lower left: "zul.Gesamtgewicht kg - 1400"

Lower right zul.Achslast hinten kg -840"

The paint tag is different than the 1965, 1966 and 1967 which include the words "Karosserie, Nr. and Kunstharzlack".

    Hope this helps.

It really depends on the VIN; that is what car is it going on. The paint badge info changed a lot over the years for example.

    1973T 3.2L Gulf Blue

Not for perfection, just for fun... but accuracy would be cool.

well, not definitive, but the only full code for Gulf Blue I have is from 1977 for 328-9-1, so similar to this badge:

    Plate

The plate you are showing is for a 356 A, not a 1973 911. The 1973 VIN plate has 9 small boxes, not 6.
