    A/C Factory Air Conditioning

    Hellooooo,
Here are some pics of my air conditioning. Man, that compressor is in my way! It must weigh a ton too! What do you guys do with it? It is way down on my list of things to sort... I even have a letter from Germany apologizing for it not working. Sheesh, whats the point in keeping it?

I really would like it gone, but it is original I believe. How about removing the compressor and plugging hoses? I don't know...

If I lived in Ohio, I wouldn't care about A/C. But if you need it, there are some really good aftermarket kits that are much more efficient. I would think that living in Ohio, you only need to change the evaporator to a serpentine one and the compressor to a rotary one. It looks like you already have barrier hoses. If you still need more cooling, then you could swap the rear condenser with a serpentine one. There are many good examples of these jobs on Pelican.

that compressor will destroy your chain housing, i'd upgrade the compressor to a sanden at the very least.
