Did all 67 rear jump seats have the added collar? With so many new interiors it is hard to know what was the standard. Did the collar have options? Or only a color match to the interior?

Ahhhh the sixties... I envision myself one early Saturday morning wearing plaid shorts, black shoes with white socks smoking a cigarette heading to the hardware store to buy a bag of nails.
SWB cars are an acquired taste however once acquired theirs no turning back.
I believe that all 1967 911S rear seats had the collars. _The collars were part of the luxury trim that was held over from MY66 that also included the stiffener insert in the rear of the door panel map pockets. Neither of these features was included in the trim of the MY67 911N. _I have an early 67S nbr 305637S with an original interior (carpet, seats, panels, dash) and the rear seats have the collar surround. Another board member, Michael M. in Germany, has one of the very last 911S in the MY67 production run, nbr 3085xxS, and that car has collars too. -_Based on these two examples, which are on opposite ends of the MY production run, it seems that the collars were included in the interior of all MY67 911S._The collars in 305637S are black piped in black. The collars are matched to the interior color, although on MY65/66 cars the piping is sometimes in a contrasting color. I have seen piping in a contrasting color on pre 67 non S cars, usually ones with light colored interiors, but would like to learn more on that. Again, the collars were not included for the MY67 911N which had the interior specs of the 67 912, which also lacked the collars. For those readers who have been following the thread regarding the "MY 67 deluxe" I expect that they had collars just like a 66. What is the approx ch nbr of your car?

My COA (for whatever that's worth) gives a build date of June '67. 308409S came with a light tan interior and matching jump seats. Tony at Autobahn remade the same pieces according to what was there with the collars in the matching color.
Thanks for clearing this up for me. I have been puzzled by the various combinations I have seen and your explanation makes the most sense.

I had the same question when doing the interior of 308477S over the winter. That was another board member's old car that had lost its collars along the way somehow. It was such a late car - June 29, 1967 (close to yours) - that I thought perhaps that the collars had been dropped from the spec as MY67 production wound down. However, Michael M. in Germany responded to an inquiry posted on the board and confirmed that his still later car, 3085xxS had the collars. Please post a pic of Tony's work!

Tony made all the interior pieces and I did the installation myself. The houndstooth insert on the front seat really bring the whole car together.
