    Talking

    Update ;
Volkswagen's supervisory board at an extraordinary meeting "endorsed
the creation of an integrated automotive group with Porsche under the
leadership of Volkswagen," Europe's largest automaker by sales said.
It added that talks with Porsche to finalize the details of a
    combination will begin soon.
Volkswagen now plans to gradually build up a stake in Porsche's core
sports-car operations with the final goal being a merger with
Porsche's holding company. Lower Saxony's governor, Christian Wulff,
said the merger should be completed in the middle of 2011.

Porsche is set to become the 10th brand of Volkswagen, but it will
remain largely independent with its head office in Stuttgart,

    Meh.

Executives, like underwear, should be changed regularly.

    This was overdue...

So next time MOPAR people dismiss your 911 as being the same thing as VW, they will be right!

Could be worse... it could be dismissed as a Jag/Land Rover..

My thinking is that it will not take Porsche too long to mess everything up. As they get larger, move away from tradition and get the "greed factor" running through their minds, one can only assume that they may start to fail.

All these big "packages" (bonuses) will catch up to them. Hopefully, their distractions, of course political in nature, will not take a toll on the company.

Rumor has it they could have a future in baby furniture! Just kiding!

I sure hope they do not implode!!

Maybe they can now direct some of the funds from the Audi racing program back into Porsche. I'm really interested to see how Piech's masterplan plays out.
