    Recipe: Duck a la Porsche

Ingredients: 1 911ST race car; 1 race circuit; 1 driver; and 1 duck (preferably of the suicidal variety)

Step 1: warm race car on circuit

Step 2: bring race car to the boil (200 kmh) along front straight

Step 3: mash duck with headlight and driving light

Step 4: spread mashed duck evenly over bonnet, windscreen and roof then serve.

    The result: voila!

Ps. I pitted, had my windscreen cleaned, went back out and then set a cracker of a qualifying time!

Seems like a quick and dirty - albeit expensive - way to make pâté.

Jeez Ryan, I've spent 1000$$$ on fancy shotguns chasing those fowl birds around - I could've just used the car!

I almost hit a deer a summit point a couple years ago.

You're lucky, we once had a gull at our windscreen at 270 and it was completely smashed!!! Luckily nobody was hurt (except for the bird).

I've had 3 major bird hits in the last 20 years...... Two of them in the same spot a year in between...... (back road on my way to Monterey... hmmm that's coming up again soon) .......

I really does feel and sound like it's come right through the winshield ...
    ... none have thank God

    John Sinclair,
I take it you were going 270 K when you had your hit...
What were you going 168 MPH in ? ...

    Cheers

The same thing happened to the Factory in 1972 with a 911ST. . . the root cause was determined to be a lack of controllability at high speeds due to insufficient downforce. . .leading to. . . wait for it. . . the development of the . . . . . DUCK TAIL!

    I am here all week.
