    Deep 6's Dated 4/67????

Any wheel experts who know the earliest dates on Fuchs for various sizes?

I was cleaning the underside of my car today and looked at the date stamps for the first time in almost twenty years of ownership and noted they were all dated 4/67. My 67 is a Euro delivered to a dealer in Mannheim on 10/12/66. Alegedly the first owner was a Army Major stationed in Germany. I'm wondering if he picked up these wheels on his tour. All subsequent owners, beginning with #2 in 1972 said that these wheels were on the car when they bought it. The 911R's had 6's and 7's - right? What were the production dates for the R's? Month and Year? Anyway the bottom is way clean now.
Here are some pics and thanks for the excellent knowedge on this board.

I think some of the earliest deep six's have restamped 5,5 numbers because they used some of the pieces intended for the 5,5 to make the first six's. Have read about this in another tread but cant find it now.

Forgive me for interrupting, but I am trying to get a hold of member
    varunan123.

I see he posted here yesterday so I know he is still around.
Raj, you sent me $750 for a roof rack several days ago.
You didn't contact me prior to find out shipping, you just sent the asking price for the item. I have sent you a paypal invoice for the shipping, 3 reminders, several emails, and PM's.
Please let me know what's going on.
    Sincerely,
    Derek

They are stamped with a die not an inkpad in the same location. I'll pull a wheel and post a picture tomorrow.

I pulled the wheels today and took some photos. It appears that they are really 5 1/2 X 15 not Deep 6's as I thought I've had for almost 20 years now. I've compared these to different Deep 6's I've had and the measurement from the outside lip to the inside lug nut area has always been the same. So Zithlords comments intrigue me. On the plus side these rims and tire combo (195X65VR15) have performed great for me and my RGruppe car that I'm building will be wearing much much lighter 951 spares as pictured with the same rubber. Oh and another senior moment the dates are all 8/67. Seems like unless I write things down the moment I see them my mind drifts. Anywho here are some pics:

    Deeps on 67

    Hi Bill,

Thanks for posting the pic of your wheel's date.

I was really looking forward to seeing an R version deep six wheel.

But, don't feel bad. I got a silver 67 coupe that was advertised with all five of its "original to the car" early deep sixes with hearts.

I was very skeptical, but still hopeful that the seller was correct.

Of course, that turned out not to be the case.

A quick look at the spare showed 10 68, exactly the same as the other four wheels.
