    On Pelican: https://forums.pelicanparts.com/pors...-2-engine.html

Selling a 1970 2.2 911T engine. This engine should be considered a core since I cannot verify if it turns over or not. It has been sitting for about 10 years.

Asking 2,500 plus shipping from Concord, CA.

One is stamped 662 2025 and came out of the Straehle 911 230 0870.
In 1972 I attended the Targa Florio, when Guenter Steckoenig and Conte Pucci won there class with that ST. I still have the S8-movie that I made there.
In 1973 there was no longer a class up to 2.500ccm, and to stay competitive they swapped the motor at one point to a 2.8 L and sold the 2.5 engine.
Matching no.was not important that time ! The motor was then built into a 914/6 and stayed there until end of the 70s. Since then it was sitting in a dry garage.

I know almost the whole story of the Straehle ST very well, but I don´t know, where this car is now, nor do I know the owner.
Can anybody help to reunite car and engine ?
If you are interested I can provide more of the story and all kind of pictures.

    thanks

    Claus,

Have you tried to contact Edmond Harris?

    Or this source maybe?

    It confirms your engine's number.

i would try Edmund Harris as a start. My records show it as being in the UK in 2006 (ex Germany) and sold in 2011 by Edmund Harris. At the time it had (UK?) registration plates ABW 330K. That is now a long time ago and i am not even completely certain of that information.
