Someone I know is trying to find the original engine of its 2.4 S Targa 1972.

Does someone know the original number of the engine of this car, VIN 9112310205?

Well, sadly it seems that Porsche France is not as efficient as Porsche USA. They will only tell him if the number he provided is right or not

I'm not sure if this has already been discussed here, but somebody recently pointed me to this site for finding engines for vintage cars:

    http://www.findyourengine.com/

Has anybody ever heard of them or had any luck finding their motor through that site?

Couldn't hurt to advertise there although it's clearly a UK site.
