And years later he selled his 2.2 and this engine is sleeping in the garage until I bought my 912 for make my clone to R..........
When I have the engine for make the confirmation of the pistons I dismount the heads and is confirmed have the pistons of 80mm !!!
And now have buyeds the 12 sparks distribuitor, one pair of 911 S tree of valves, one pair of webbers 40, and the headers more more racing of the R and the finish muffler........

I just purchased a Porsche 914 with a 6 conversion.
Engine is a 70 2.2S motor. Engine serial# 6301335. Its running Weber 40's, but has the original MFI heads and a good running rebuild.
Thought I would post here in case someone is looking for their engine.
I bought a 1969 S Soft Window Targa VIN 119 31 0132 a few month ago .
I just got the COA and the Kardex with all the production information.
The missing matching engine has the number 639 0440 . I found that engine in an early911 advert from 2007 , listed below. Maybe someone can help me with information about the owner of that car driving with my matching engine .
Year: 1969
VIN Number: 119121456
Winning bid: US $10,500.00 (BIN)
Sale date: Oct-09-07
Notes: "This is a very solid T coupe with an S engine#6390440.The car has had many billable man hours to strip the car to prepare for paint.Because it is just the tub one can view the rust prone areas and see how very solid this car is,any rust colored areas you view in the pictures are just that-rust colored, integrity of sheet metal is there.Seams are solid. The car is complete!I purchased and picked up the car from the shop that stripped it so it has not been moved from spot to spot. This is a tremendous opportunity to pick up a car that has already been taken down to prepare for paint.I believe my asking price is what an S engine is worth alone."
Thanks for your help
