From Bear Mountain, to the Gunks

The Black Horse show was cancelled, so what to do? Taking advantage of the nice day, I met up with Ron (Gumby), and we said we would meet at Highland Falls, NY, to scope out the West Point/Bear Mountain area.
I PM'd all the guys in the original Bear Mountain thread, but it was late Saturday by the time we got this organized, and obviously tough for most to make it. Next time guys.
Well, Rt 218, Storm King route over to Cornwall was closed
So the plan was to head up 9W, and on toward the "gunks" to eat lunch at the Brauhaus.

    Here is Ron, at departure

    Karl:

The targa looks awesome. I hope you guys had some fun. Let's plan a Bear Mountain run now and, perhaps for late Sept/early Oct.
