    ST heaven. This is a great thread. I love how you could buy some flares and bits from the dealer and go race Le Mans back in the day. Everthing was so cool in the early 70's! Best cars, best music, less crowds and cheaper gas!

    great reminder of what the "little guy" can do - especially in the wet when the handling and skill is more important than outright power

    Here is a photo of that race that I like - the Chasseuil 914-6 6th OA and first in GT 2.0 after 285 laps and the Kremer 911s which came in 7th OA and first in GT 2.5, after 282 laps.

    However while they are recorded as 6th and 7th OA they were actually separated on the road by another car that also did 282 laps but was not classified as a finisher - the Solar productions 908/02 camera car for the McQueen Le Mans movie driven by Linge

    I would like any help in researching this car and it's details would love to find it-if not would love to do a replica based on research. It is a Raymond Touroul and "Anselme" 71 GT class winner.
