    Thumbs up Appreciation…….

I just want to take a pulse check and express my appreciation for the fairly long-term excellent conduct on this message board. Especially in our classifieds … the former bane of my job...

Of late when someone steps over the line it’s usually addressed by you the contributors even before me or Peter Kane brings it to my attention. This is exactly what I worked for and hoped would happen … after some predictable teething pains the expectation has been set. An almost self regulated international information source filled with knowledge and passion and still having lots of room for fun… and all the while keeping the scholarship, sophistication, and civility of a source that all knows is viewed ALL OVER THE WORLD… and ALL CAN BR PROUD OF….

    So guys,
I still read EVERY post on this board. With over 4200 registered and 1100 active users it’s getting to be a semi full time job… we’re averaging at least one new registered message board member every day…..

So again, everyone’s conduct and participation is greatly appreciated.
My only regret is I have so little time to contribute like I did before……
    But we'll figure it out.........

    Thanks again,

I think it's a great community and the forum is a great resource. I dunno - maybe it's boring. But I haven't been really entertained since the 356 Registry lost The Maestro (Harry Pellow). Now *that* was a loss! But I find a lot of value in the information and the classifieds - I just get my entertainment elsewhere.

I do miss Paul and Smith though...

So.... be careful for what you wish for, or aspire to as far as this forum. It may end up just like Disneyland, santized and wholesome, but a whole lot less interesting.

    Cheers,

From my perspective, this forum is a awesome source of information for me. As opposed to many members here : I just own one LWB, I never rebuilt an 911 engine myself and I'm living far up North in Montreal, where you can be months without seing a pre-73 911 on the streets. I asked a bunch of questions in the past and I got nice and complete answers. I better like this small community compare to the mass, all years 911, of Pelican...

I saw few posts with lots of arguments on techinical subject ; but I think everybody need to be ready to be challenged when posting opinions ; this is what is bringing our knowledge a step further. Maybe in many years, I will be at a level where some of you are right now, and not in need of answers as I am today, I don't know...

For sure, more and more subjects are being covered, so the opportunity for new stuff is gonna be more and more limited...

But, anyway, I very satisfied about this website, I'm here everyday, to get answers or parts to complete my project (I will begin a built story tread pretty soon ; I think it will be a nice project !)

    Regards
    JD
