If true then the vin stampings above are from different locations on the car.

Interesting that Henk has not chimed in on this... Re-reading the thread it seems like he was going to complete a full restoration... Now, assuming these are the same car, it appears to have been turned into a "barn find"?

    Disappointing to say the least.

Thinking it's the same car, just with the undercoating blasted off...

The depth of the numbers appears to be different also.

Sorry guys, planned to chime in earlier but was too busy..
It is the same car, however I do not own the car anymore since March 30 2015.
I separated from my business partner in March 2015 and in the buy out I included the 64, too bad since I really wanted to restore the car and keep it, but as you may understand... business goes before pleasure.
The 'ex-partner' took it out of our shop incl all the parts and shipped it to a shipper's warehouse where it was stored sometimes inside and sometimes outside hence the rust now on the body (what a shame!)
Recently it was shipped to Germany where (as I found out last week) it apparently is being auctioned off this week. The choice of auction house is strange, I agree..
It is noted that the engine is non matching and also incomplete, e.g. No Solex carbs etc etc. Only what is seen in the pictures is what they sell.
Interesting to see how this auction will end. As you may conclude I have no communication anymore with the ex partner.
Indeed.... disappointing to say the least.
I have moved on with my life and our business and we are doing great! Recently moved to the other side of our building and doubled our space! I hope you guys come see us at the next Open House in a few months!!
    Cheers.

Pleased to read you are doing well Henk. Sometimes it works out for the best to wipe your mouth and move on. Good luck
