    911 Speedster

It won't be a trailer queen ie handcuffs on this ride. It will be presentable. Tell you this, Stuttgart should have hired Mr Townes. Amazing, beautiful execution, and forsight for its time. hh

    911 Stan Townes Speedster

Dave, I'm surprised one of the west coasters didn't jump on this ride when it was for sale.

The reason it is shaped that way is to accomodate the height of the induction on the engines be they, Carbs,MFI or CIS. You can lower the induction some...but not enough. You can lower the engine, but not enough.
Speedo - Do you think it is the height of the fan or the height of the intakes that interrupt the line from the rear? The silver 912 car could probably work with a 908 style intakes through the rear deck - but I don't think a 911 fan would fit under the rear panel (the reversed hood).

    911 speedster...early

I was just about to post that I saw the "Townes" speedster at the PARADE yesterday when I see the new owner already did! Yep it's here! Was I ever surprised. Glad to see the new owner has already jumped in!
