Interesting that the 1969 has been cut out of the one that you posted.
That's my 70S and it's original sticker. The car was built 1/70 so it predates the info on the website listing the first use of it in Feb of 70. Due to the age there is cracking throughout the decal and that portion with the "1969" was MIA when I purchased the car. The section that is missing followed the crack lines. Just happened to coincide exactly with the 1969.

My 1970 911E was built in December 1969. Can anyone validate whether the 1969 decal was applied this month? I seem to remember someone here stating that it was also applied in December 1969.

Great foto Milou, thank you. Can you tell me what the build date is of the ex-Siffert 71S please? I would like to determine the correct placement for the Marken-Weltmeister decal for my 3/71 build date car. Some time ago, I placed the Early S repro on my windshield thinking that was correct. I subsequently learned that the later MY cars had them in the rear quarter window. Thank you.

    Wink Build date

Not sure exactly when the sticker was transfered to the back, but the car was build on the 28th of April 1971:

I do have an original NOS 1969 1970 version that I purchased from Stoddard back in the day for my 1971 911T, but never used.

Unfortunetly, it is stashed away, so it may take me a few days to find it.

Thank you Milou. Well, that puts the rear window location closer to my build date. Now I just need to find someone with a 3/71 build date and a sticker in the rear window.
