Here is the problem with the reproduction fenders, esp. the Restoration Design ones. The lip is much too wide. The originals are almost a 90 degree angle, thus the nice gap. The reproductions have lost this. Thus, i do NOT recommend the Restoration Design fenders. Name: image.jpg

What did you eventually go with?
Thanks again, can't get enough detail on these projects.

Rusty, on my 70S, it's only three glued strips of deadener running longitudinally from the rear to the front. The strips are approx. 6 in wide. This is attached directly to the roof panel then a thin layer of foam is glued up there above the headliner ribs.

Thanks for those comments, George. Words and pics might give someone else a better idea of what's involved w/ making RD's bits 'work.' Sorry to hear that it didn't work out

Thanks Rick !! Sorry for the long delay in updating !! I always appreciate your enthusiasm in these blogs !! The pics below post #131 show the difference between the factory (upper pic) and the RD (lower pic) fenders. RD did not seem interested with this info. Thus, the Stoddard ones. Now, onward .... !! Many of the parts, including the fenders sold by Restoration Design are not their own stampings, they are simply resellers of poorly fitting Dansk parts.
