Hi Guys !! Sorry for the long delay in updates to the 911 project. I had surgery on my forehead to remove a melanoma recently in Boston. Fortunately, the surgeries have been successful !!! Mr Laws has been continuing details on the interior. Making sure that the various screws are correct and washers are modified for decreasing radius trim. Boy, the Germans are detail oriented !! Here are new door handles from Stoddard. Mr Laws had to actually hand cut the tumblers as the new handles did not accept the old tumblers. Nice items but, as with so many new items, they require modification to work properly on these early 911s. Name: image.jpg

Here is detail of where the seat belts attach. This car was a factory automatic seat belt car, poss fairly early for this option. Seems close to the rear wheel well. Name: image.jpg

Did your car not have the additional cover over the retractor mounting?

Ed, you do have a keen eye !! Yes, it did come with them and we have them ready to go. Just trying to sort out the seat belt retractors. The interior vinyl is tricky as there are various grains and sheen from the manufacturers. We stayed with Autos Internationals vinyl. Thanks for the nice wishes !! George

Hi Guys !! Mr Laws has been busy with Jaguar and MG restoration for the past month. But he is back on the 911. The seat belt saga continues. The reels I have are larger than the originals. So, Mr Laws is heating the original covers in order to stretch them a bit. He made a jig to do this. Old school !! Name: DSC_1648.jpg
