    1952 Porsche 356 Pre-A Coupe Project

    EBAY item # 250541073726

Here we have a 1952 Porsche 356 Pre A Coupe project, VIN 12009. This is a very rare opportunity for a few reasons. The first, rarely do you see a car this early come up for sale. Second, this car has been dipped and is presented in bare metal, no surprises. Everything you see is the car and nothing but the car. No paint, no filler, no fiberglass, just metal. Third, The restoration has already been started with a lot of the metal work begun. New battery box, headlight buckets, horn brackets are in place. New floor pans have been tack welded into place and just need final welding. There is still some rust repair to be done, please look at all the photos to get an idea of the project. The hood, decklid and one door are original and bear the last digit of the VIN, "9", stamped in. The other door may be original but the stamped portion is missing. Included in the things you don't have to search for are the hard-to-find pre-A dash, beehive tail lights and correct early fuel tank with no provision for a fuel level gauge. Also included is an early engine case, two-piece type, with an unstamped engine number! There are no other engine parts. Headlights are also included.

This is the perfect opportunity to go one of two ways with this car. It would make an excellent candidate for an Emory-style outlaw, you never see early cars that aren't completely rusted heaps! The other option would be to restore it to a very, very early pre A coupe. Once again, the car is in bare metal so you know how solid it is and there is no guesswork. Don't miss out!
