    Porsche Parade 2010

Registration for the Parade starts on March 9th for the July 3-9 Parade in St. Charles, IL. Its about 45mins west of Chicago. The link is http://parade2010.pca.org.
I have been really, really disappointed at the turnout from the early 911 crowd at the Parade the past few years. Why is that? I like to see a nice variety of cars and it seems to me that the early 911's are the only model that is under-represented at this event. The ones that do show up are gawked at, and the owners are always in conversation with someone that "had one of these."
I have seen enough RS America's to choke a horse...what I would really like to see is a group of Early S registry folks show up and put on a show!
I am going to try and help get some people together, especially first-timers, to add to this event. I welcome your comments and hope to see you there.
    best,
    Cole

    Vic's 911...

...is one of the crowd pleasers for sure, I wonder if that VW exec will be back to take more photos of your "livery?"

LOL, that's very funny, Cole. I'm planning to go this year as I'm pretty close. I haven't been since 2000 when it was in Milwaukee and then I had a '96 Carrera (thankfully not an RSA ).

I don't know yet if I will take one or two cars over, but I'm hoping other guys from the Midwest will show too. We need a good parking lot beer and pizza fest to set the tone for the event.

I got half a mind to ride a motorcycle but the SO would not be so happy with that choice. She's a good sport up to a point.

if you had any guts at all you would put a trailer hitch on the 911 and tow the bike up there behind it.

That is an "enuke" idea. (my regards to Slim Pickens)

I've got the trailer. Can I really get a hitch?

Vintage 911s at The Porsche Parade

Cole - Early 911 Porsches at the Porsche Parade? Sounds like a fine idea, count me in.

Vic - "If you are accepted?". I have never been accepted, but show up anyway. ...oh, you mean your registration?
